To start off, back when the names for Pink Christmas were sent out, I started receiving emails from a 'Pink Christmas Girlie', trying to get to know me because at the time I didn't have a blog (annoying I know). The only thing I could tell was that she must be from the east coast because of the time they were sent (I was right, sort of). They were so sweet and I would get so excited to have one show up in my inbox. When I finally started my blog, I sent her the link, hoping to give her a glimpse of me.
Fast forward to Mon of this week. I received an email from Kristi telling me something about the girl that I had. She told me of a hardship she was going through and thought I might want to know. The crazy thing is, it wasn't who I had but I thought I would send off a Christmas cd anyway, knowing she would have a rough couple weeks ahead. Remember, not knowing her at all or ever seeing her blog that I knew of. I emailed Kristi back just so she could send one to the girl that really did have our girlfriend in need. Kristi said, 'Thanks for your kind words, maybe I was meant to make the mistake.' I'm sure she was.

Again, fast forward to Sat (today), I got my Pink Christmas!! I was so giddy, I have been watching for it all week. There was no name on the outside of the box, and no card inside. When I looked at the return address, I thought it looked familiar but had to stop and really think about where I knew it from. You probably know where I am going with this. It was Amanda, the girl I sent the cd to, she had me! I was so thankful for Kristi's email (she lovingly sent another one to all of us just to lift another a little more), even though it wasn't meant for me, I acted on it and was able to get Good Mail to Amanda before she got it to me! Don't you just love it? I have read her blog this past little bit and my heart breaks for her. What a sweet girlfriend to still get her Pink Christmas gift sent! This is Pink Christmas, full circle and I love it! I'm sure this was part of Kristi's vision. I'm so glad she had it way back in July! Thanks Kristi! I love how it is all wrapped and packaged, thanks Amanda, I can't wait to open it! I have to keep telling my kids to get away from it!
Now I feel some panic about getting mine sent. What guilt when yours comes and you haven't sent the one you made! I have an aunt that works at the post office and she said without fail, Monday will be the worst day of the year. She frightened me with her talk of lines and cranky people. I will get it done, never fear_______, it will make it to you! =)!
**Edited to add- While my aunt was still here getting her hair done, she made me package up my Pink Christmas (sometimes I need pressure) and said she would take it to work on Mon and get it sent! No lines and it will get there on time, what a deal! I did it, it's gone and I am so proud! I can't wait for her to get it!So, tell me what you are up to this weekend? Do you love this story as much as I do?

I DO love your story, Melanie. That is great! I tried to leave a comment on Amanda's blog to tell her how sorry I was, but I couldn't since I'm not a blogger with blogger...so I'm so glad you got to send her something.
No fear...when the girlfriend you drew DOES get your gift she'll love it...even if it doesn't make it till her birthday :) It is such a perfect fit and idea.
Today I'm on the last stretch of a big Christmas project that I'm working on for Cali. Her A-Z scrapbook. I'm excited to be able to put it under the tree and think, "Done."
That's a very Pink Christmas Kind of Story, I love it! It's magical when things like that happen.
It was a huge relief when I finally mailed my Pink Christmas gift yesterday. I have more to send and am now very frightened for Monday. I wonder what the slowest time of the day is at the post office??
That is a GREAT story. How awesome to have an aunt that works at the post office. Score for sure! Glad she pressured you into mailing it. Just glad I have NO more things to mail.
Melanie, well I am sure you can guess what I am doing right now, yes CRYING!
I can't even type....
There is a beauty in women loving women and my heart is so full right now.
thank you for sharing your story.
That is an excellent story. I really like your spirit!
I got my CD from you today, and I was so excited. I snatched it out of my husband's hand and popped it right into the CD player. Thank you! That is such a great gift and so appreciated!
I love your Pink Christmas story- some things are just meant to be.
I mailed my gift a while ago and the person I have doesn't have a blog so I have no idea if they have it yet or not. I have a bad feeling about it for some reason- probably just over thinking and hopefully she has it in her pretty little hands.
That is a great Pink Christmas story. It is in those emotionally draining times that the women in your life can be the most important. I've been reading a lot of posts from people involved in Pink Christmas and it seems that everyone is excited about it. What a great idea.
Thank you for the CD. I just love Christmas music and it has cheered me up to listen to it.
What a great story! Your gift is beautiful. I have ready Amanda's blog quite a bit. She is a very talented lady.So how were you able to post finally on my blog so I can pass it on? Thanks.
What a great story! It's a amazing how women can sense a need and act on it. Thanks for sharing!
I love it! I love how close we can all feel to each other, some of us having never even met! What a great experience for you.
Can't wait to see what it is!
i love your story. a friend of mine once said that "our lives are perfectly intertwined by Heavenly Father to meet all our needs." this certainly is the case. what great experience.
