No More Neglecting

I finished Harry Potter 7 last night. And I'm admitting it right now, I could NOT put it down yesterday (the other days it wasn't so hard). I had some serious neglecting issues. The house, the kids, dinner. You get the idea. I did manage to cut the boys hair, do a couple loads of laundry and I even thought about packing for the reunion. No real packing was involved since I was reading every spare minute. Kathryn even asked me if I was going to read all day. Well...not ALL day but... most of it. I loved the book, it was great. She has an amazing mind to me, how did she come up with all of it? So I am sad that it is over but since I know I missed stuff from reading so fast, I'll just have to read them again someday. Just not in the too near future. You know for neglecting reasons.

And this is where we are off to today. I love trees and forests since we don't live anywhere near them (a Washington myth that they are all over the state). My bars are in the oven, the kids stuff is piled up and I'm working on my own. Here's to no mosquitoes, good food and family fun!

The Sour Cream Banana Bars are sinful so beware. They are in the Summer Cookbook put together by Elizabeth and they come to me via Jane that put her family cookbook together and from a lady that used to be in my ward. Somewhat like banana bread only you cook them in a jelly roll pan so they are thin and then you frost them with a brown butter frosting. Oh no, they probably aren't that good for you but they are GOOD! If anyone wants, I'll post the recipe when I get back, I must get off this computer!

I have been neglecting Harry too. I am anxious to finish but can't seem to keep on reading. Anyways, have a fabulous trip at your reunion!

I'll have to check out the summer cookbook that I have.

Banana bars are in the blogger's cookbook? Seriously? I missed them! Have a fun reunion - good thing you finished the book before you left or you'd be awfully anti-social to all your relatives with your nose in a book the whole time. Ha!

I am still working on Hp7. It has been really hard to read it with the baby and I am just way too tired to try to stay up to read it after everyone is in bed.

Hope your reunion goes well!

I do the neglect thing too a little. But I also nurse so I have little breaks in the day that I read, if the reading spills over a nit longer, then so be it. Brendan has started to smack my books down with his free arm so it's a little tricky. Love camping. It's one of the only times you can let the kids get totally dirty and not worry about it messing up the house.

I loved HP 7. It was absolutely amazing. I loved how she was able to wrap up so many lose ends. I read it in about 3 days.
Where you are going for your reunion looks beautiful. We went to Rockaway OR for our honeymoon, that picture reminded me of it.

I almost didn't read your post because I haven't finished Harry Potter yet and I didn't want to read anything that I shouldn't. I took the risk ... and thank you for not sharing any details! :)

Your trip sounds like fun. I can't wait to see that recipe.... yummy!

It's been awhile since I checked in, I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. I am a little nervous to start Harry Potter because I know how I get when I read those books. They completely consume my life once I start! :) By the way, I totally love the quilt you did for Leisha! It is soooo cute!! hope you had fun at the reunion! :)

I loved Harry Potter too. She is amazing. And the way she makes you feel sad for finishing so you just want to pick it up again. Genius. I reread the entire series and I still felt sad to finish it a second time.
Hope you are having a wonderful reunion.
