Big boy is 9 months today. Can you believe it? Yeah, me neither!At nine months he....
... started getting up on his knees just a couple days ago. All of my kids have been late crawlers and I'm just fine with it. And considering I haven't done a very good job of getting the big kids to keep their stuff out of his reach, it's a good thing! But a baby holding himself up like this is so adorable!
... loves balloons. A friend brought this last week and when I get it down from the ceiling, he holds it and just stares at it going back and forth. And when he gets up from a nap and spies it on the ceiling, he wont take his eyes off it and then stretches his little arm out waiting for me to get it (of course I get it for him). So cute.
... has a current obsession with paper. He lunges for it, reaches across anything to get it. Today he found a legal pad of yellow paper and ripped a bunch of pages off of it. He only scoots backwards so when he came upon a pad of paper unexpectedly, he was so pleased. Dane policed him and took it away before I reached him. I was only half a room away, this baby is quick even without the crawling skill yet!
... looks like this when I take the paper away. I'm so mean.
... is such a good natured baby. He weighs 22 1/2 pounds and is one healthy boy. He babbles and coos when we drive around, he loves any food that he can feed to himself by picking it up and still hates baby food on a spoon (can you blame him that stuff stinks!). His bottom teeth appear to be fused like Nathan's are and we are anxiously awaiting the breakthrough of his top teeth. By the looks of the swollen gums, it should be soon. The teeth cutting business has been messing with his sleep and it's been a rough go for both of us. At 9 months he sleeps less than he did at 3 months and it's killing me. He's still in our room (by necessity not by choice) and don't think he doesn't know we're just a few steps away. I'm pretty sure we're going to have another king of the castle but he's so cute we wouldn't have it any other way!!

He is so cute. And no I can't believe it has already been 9 months! I know I have said it before, but really, how cool to have things like this documented (where you actually can find them) when your kids are so little!
I can't believe he's 3 short months away from being 1. Is it just me or didn't you just have him? Are you going to be around Royal City this weekend? I am!
Why does paper taste SO good to babies? I get the same reaction from Preston as if I'm taking away a hostess twinkie (yum)!
Paisley is still is my roon and people give me crap for it, now I can tell them that your babay is still in you room! :)
9 months! Thats just crazy. He is adorable though. What an exciting 9 months I bet!! It seems like you just had him...seriously.

The kids miss the Spanish branch kids! Sad to see them go - is the primary program still with them? You even taught them a spanish song! You guys are so dedicated in primary!

Oh he is so adorable Melanie! I can't believe it's been 9 months already (it sure went fast for me, ha ha). That is so hard having him in your room. Austin was in our room about the same age and the Dr. told me to get him out, no matter what... and this is embarassing to admit, but we moved his crib into a large walk-in closet off our room. It totally worked and he slept like a rock! I hope that it gets better soon.
9 mos old already! Man time flies! He is 9 mos old and I think I have seen him ONCE in person. That is just WRONG!!! Thanksgiving here we come...save a day to spend with the cousins in Royal...or how about lunch for the Moms!

That campout sounds like a nightmare! I don't blame you for shedding a tear...I would have been hysterical, and probably would have just packed up and went home early!

I haven't checked your blog forever and I am in SHOCK how big your littlest little is! Holy cow! Time passes too quickly. Is it possible for him to get any cuter than he already is?
My littles didn't sleep through the night until they were TWO! It was an interesting two years for me! Hope things get better!
