Buddy is one and I am still in shock at how fast this year has gone. I think I've enjoyed Reed's time as a baby more that I did with Nathan and Dane. With Nate being the first, I thought it was hard and overwhelming. With Dane I had a crazy 22 month old running around. And now that the 3 older kids can almost fend for themselves things have been more relaxed. It's been nice to be less stressed about some things. Even if it's been just a little bit less, ha.
At first he just licked the frosting off of his thrown together caterpillar cupcake train. But once I cut a cupcake open and he saw the cake, he tore right in. He made a royal mess, just what a one year old is supposed to do right?
Reed loves to turn off the TV, change the channel, blast the volume, block the view. You name it, when he bugs the TV, he gets the biggest reaction out of the big kids and he loves it!
He hugs anything extra soft like minky fabric or new fleece. Sleepers, stuffed animals, a sweatshirt, scarf. All of it reminds him of his blanket and he can't resist a snuggle while he holds it and sucks his thumb. He is at such a fun age. He will yell for what he wants (and usually gets it from one of the big kids), favors all carbohydrates (his mother's son for sure), is getting braver every day with letting go of the couch or table he walks along, jabbers all the time, loves to read books and is so fun to have around.

I can't believe he's a year. It's so crazy how fast this year has gone! I also feel like I've enjoyed Winston more then the other boys. I think it's because I know how fast they grow up!
