It is your reaction to adversity, not the adversity itself, that determines how your life’s story will develop.
Though
it may seem that you are alone, angels attend you. Though you may feel
that no one can understand the depth of your despair, our Savior, Jesus Christ, understands. He suffered more than we can possibly imagine, and He did it for us; He did it for you. You are not alone.
If
you ever feel your burden is too great to bear, lift your heart to your
Heavenly Father, and He will uphold and bless you. He says to you, as
He said to Joseph Smith,
“[Your] adversity and [your] afflictions shall be but a small moment;
and then, if [you] endure it well, God shall exalt [you] on high.”
Enduring
adversity is not the only thing you must do to experience a happy life.
Let me repeat: how you react to adversity and temptation is a critical
factor in whether or not you arrive at your own “happily ever after.” ~
It started on Pinterest with the quotes. The first quote led me to my favorite Mormon Messages. Which then led me to watch about 10 more. Finally, the last video led me to President Uchdorf's talk from a clip in this video.
Am I in the midst of a trial? Yes. Are you? Is a loved one? Most likely, yes. I'm ever aware of tender mercies (even in the form of crafty quotes on Pinterest) sent from the Lord. Tonight turned into great, uplifting chain of events that I'm grateful for (think If You Give a Mouse a Cookie).

I'm thinking my favorites are Elizabeth Edwards & JK Rowling. Pinterest time becoming productive--amazing!
I haven't gotten hooked on Pinterest yet...maybe because I'm not "following" anyone, but this was definitely inspiring. What an encouragement! I loved the first quote! It's just so true and real.
The quote from Elizabeth Edwards reminded me of this poem that my senior English teacher had us memorize:

Those are some good quotes. I like Pres. Uchtdorf's talk and E. Edwards and Rowlings quotes too. My gGma Lucy always said, This too shall pass. Hopefully our trials make us stronger and then we'll find our happily ever after.
My favorites are Elizabeth Edwards and Jeffrey Holland. I cried through most of elder Uchtdorf's talk when he first gave it and cried again tonight as I read his words here. Though it may seem that you are alone....angels attend you. What a powerful statement! I know I have had many Angels that have attended me through adversity. One of them is an angel named Melanie.
