Family Fun Day

Today we went to Family Fun Day at the high school. Normally I wouldn't end up at a crazy place like that but Kathryn had a clogging performance. We skipped clogging this week to enjoy some time up at Gramimi's house (she was home from work that day) and I had no idea there was a performance until yesterday. Ugh! So there went my day of laundry and cleaning but the kids had more fun than staying home, so at least that part was a success.

They had all sorts of booths this year which meant more to do but a much larger crowd too. We went outside and the kids (Maggie spent the day with us, the kids played so good) climbed up into this fire truck, they loved it. Also they were giving out free bike helmets so we scored with those. Dane's is too small so we'll have to be handing that one down to a nephew (Quinn or Mason, any takers?)

Milo starts working on Sat nights again tonight so we fly solo getting up and ready for church before 8:30. Yikes, I hate this schedule with our early church. I've whined about it before but it is dang hard to get all 4 of us ready and to church on time AND in a good mood (mostly me on that one). Luckily he joins us partway through sacrament meeting to help corral the kids. Eight Sundays until we get him back in the mornings. I am not and fear never will be an early morning person. I'm off to get our bag ready and lay out everyone's clothes. It helps immensely and I regret the weeks I don't do it! Have a good Sunday!

They look so cute in their helmets. I'm sure Mason's head is already too big for Dane's helmet.

Yikes. 8:30 church is quite possibly worse than our 1:30 schedule. I shall stop complaining about that now! Doing it all by yourself, you poor girl. Good plan to do as much as you can the night before.

Melanie--Three cheers for the you, single sacrament mom...that is hard.

I always hated it when Calvin didn't have early morning meetings or work because he goofed up my little regimen so badly. How funny, he needed lessons from Milo.

Sometimes I wish I were a nightowl like you, but I feel for you on Sundays.

Kathryn looks so cute. You definitely hit a good one with the helmets.

It has been fun to catch up with you. I am glad your little guy he is healing up right. I have a little climber here also.

Early church is rough on everyone, but to have to get the kids ready alone is just too cruel. You are wise to get everything ready the night before. (Did I mention we have 2:00 church? It's glorious.)

It sounds like a fun day. I wish I could have gotten free helmets...they both need them. We could try Dane's helmet...but Quinn's head might be bigger. Although since he has no hair now, it could fit. Ha. Well we are excited to come home for the summer and hang out. We need to make some plans to get together!! Love you all!

I don't think I could even get myself ready for 8:30am church- let alone 3 kids! Ouch. I am definitely more grateful for the afternoon church schedule after having a child.

I can't believe what a difference it makes to have things ready for Sunday. Even with late church I try to prepare Saturday. You are a trooper, when both of mine were little I had decided I would be inactive when Jimmy was gone (I didn't but I REALLY wanted to).
