Really, a Whole Week Went By?

I sit here not really believing a whole week just went by. I have been reading blogs and I comment some. I've even committed the sin of reading and not commenting (not nice I know). I have been SO tired this past week and almost everyday have wanted to post something, anything. But the one thing that stopped me was the fear of whining too much. I don't want my posts to whine about my pregnancy woes because I am happy about this baby, we want this baby. So why would I complain right? All I know is I can't wait to feel like I have some actual energy again. And yes, I do know that energy is short lived but right now I don't care. I just want some of it!

We did get passes to the pool here this year and we ended up going twice this past week. I love this year because my watching the kids is really only required for Dane and an occasional check of the older two. Perfect! We start swimming lessons next week so that will occupy our mornings for 2 weeks. They wont let Dane take level one because he isn't 4 yet. (His birthday is 9-3). Apparently they are strict on that and wanted me to sign him up for Mommy and Me even though he blows bubbles in the water, does a tummy float AND will try floating on his back while kicking his legs! (Way more than some did in the kids level 1 last year) I was so mad. The kid has to be left out again, dang fall birthday. I'm thinking about an official complaint because kids Dane's age are really left out. Way too old to be in a class with 18 month olds and yet not old enough (according to them) to take a real class. Part of me wishes I would have just lied but then I know how wrong it would have been. A no win really.

Milo loved his first week of work! He already feels like he is learning stuff (I know that sounds real technical, ha!) and really likes the people training him. It is weird to see him in a shirt and tie and all dressed up in slacks for work but I think it suits him well. I don't have a photo of him actually leaving for work with a shirt and tie on because I am still dead to the world when he leaves. I should snap one when he comes home but he has already ripped the tie off when he walks through the door (sound familiar Jenny?). We are so proud of him and I love how excited the kids are when he comes home. They are used to seeing him so much more during the day they just can't wait for him to get home. Fine by me, by then I'm ready to pass the torch and let him be in charge.

Nathan's latest funny today-

He came into my room for something and I thought he had been eating something because his face looked dirty. I made him come closer and I tried to wipe it all off. Come to find out it was a mouth surrounded by hickeys! He still wont confess what he sucked his lips into to make him have hickey mouth. It's been pretty funny to look at all day though. Fun times with a boy in the house!

I have had a pleasing amount of Good Mail cards this past week. Natasha, Kelly, Liz, and I hope my pregnant brain isn't forgetting someone, have sent sweet cards. Michelle also sent a postcard from Paris and I must say I felt so international and cool getting it! I can't imagine ever seeing Paris in person (will I ever get over my travel issues?) and the postcard is so cool! Thank you, thank you!

I have more to post about but this has taken me all day! Onto next time that will hopefully be sooner than next week!!

Oh Melanie, I feel your pain! I know how blessed and lucky I am to be pregnant and I PROMISED myself no complaining...but MAN..I forgot how hard it is. I feel like a beached whale already because I am way huger than I should be and I am so tired all the time (and still nauseous!)...Just know that I am sympathizing with you and hope that the energy kicks in soon!! :)

Nathan is so funny...I love the hickey lips. I haven't written a post is forever, but I feel I have nothing to post about. Our life has been boring. The next few weekends will be fun with fun things since the boys' birthdays are almost here. We'll see you tomorrow!

Kids do the strangest things eh? How funny about his mouth. My kids do that to their arms.

Hang in there with the pregnancy. I know it is rough, being nauseated--bleh! I am certain your 2nd trimester will be better :)

Go ahead and whine, it's better than not blogging at all and it's real so let it out. It's so frustrating not having any energy, I feel you and hope you can take it easy until you feel good again. You're making a person you know!

You should mention Dane's age-group situation to the pool people, that's lame.

I'm so glad Milo is enjoying his new job (except for the tie) and am happy that his schedule is normal so he can give you a break in the evenings.

The hickey lips are hysterical.

I say whine away (I know I do and it makes us all feel more normal).

I would be really bugged about the swimming thing too. Why must we be so tempted to lie, is it really wrong when the rules are dumb? (Yes, I know it is, dang!)

It looks like Nathan put the vacuum hose over his mouth. That is so funny that he now has hickey's all over!

Hopefully your second trimester goes much better. It's awful having no energy! I don't know how you do it with 3 kids at home!!

So proud of the post! I know pregnancy is so hard in the beginning and end. Hang in there. You'll look back and laugh and wonder how you did it. I know I do!

It's just hard being pregnant, and no matter how much you want that baby, it still sucks a lot of the time! So I say, complain all you want! I hope you feel better soon.

That is so annoying that they go by age. Whatever happened to skill? That makes me really glad that the pool we go to goes completely by skill and not age. The only restriction is they have to be 3 b/c no parents are allowed in the pool. Olivia (4) was actually in the same class as Austin (6) at one point. Hmmf. Good luck with that!
