Six with a Monthly Special

1. Last night before bed we were waiting to say prayer and for some reason Nathan was lingering in the kitchen. I soon found out why when he hobbled into the living room clutching his stomach. He has a history of trying to drink as much water as possible right before bed and I knew he had just chugged a huge glass of water. I'm so mad I didn't take a photo because his belly was rock hard and so distended. He had filled a big glass (16 oz) and had it gone in seconds. I would have stopped him had I heard what he was doing but he was being sneaky. All this was after a full dinner and dessert of an ice cream cone. He was miserable! I hope he learned a lesson because he does this all the time. It's so annoying. I did laugh to myself as he tried (unsuccessfully) to belch the pain away. Boys, I tell ya!

2. Last night Shaila came over and helped me out with a few Photoshop tips. I haven't taken the time to read up on much and she has. I've just played around a little here and there and it shows because I'm pretty limited in what I can do. She taught me some great stuff. Thanks Lou! Plus she shared this adorable photo of Reed that she took at Dane's soccer game. His eyes, I just love them.

3. Today marked our first day of spring break and can I say, I want a DO OVER! Reed woke up cranky as ever just after 6:30 (he's been sleeping close to 8 for quite a while so the early wake up call was not a welcome one) and as I was trying to get him to settle back down, Nathan saunters in to tell me he wet the bed. From the liter he drank last night. Ugh! Don' t these kids get the memo that mom should get to sleep in on the first Saturday of spring break? Don't answer that, I know the answer.

4. Today was gloomy. It rained off and on and if the sun came out at all today, I missed it. I'll take the rain over all the wind we've had the past week or so. But over both of those, I'd take the sun! Especially since we're supposed to be enjoying spring. Hurry up already.

5. I escaped the house today for a few hours with Anna and baby Ty. We hit up our favorite lunch spot and of course ended our fun at Walmart. Man, we need another store in this town. Thanks for the outing Anna, you know we both needed it!

6. March Monthly Special

I found an old photo in the archives for the March Monthly Special from Take Out Photo. This month Marc focuses on Foreground. If only the ladybugs would have stayed on the front side of this leaf! I still like this photo even though the bugs didn't cooperate. It was a really windy day while we were camping last fall and just seeing this flower and these bugs reminds me of that weekend. Good, crazy times camping, that's for sure.
