Five for Friday

1. Currently these are the posts in draft form.... I have no real reason for not posting. I'm feeling better, haven't been overly busy or crazy but have had zero motivation. After repeated requests and reminders I need to post, a Five for Friday will get me through until I marathon post. Soon.

• Memorial Day Weekend/ 5k runners (Milo wants this one posted)
• Last Day of School (the kids changed and grew again, dang it)
• Histio Heroes Bike-a-Thon (amazing fundraiser for my cousin's son, they raised $25,000!)
• Reed-isms (I don't want to forget the words he uses. Ex, roaster coaster = roller coaster)

2. Yesterday we found out what isn't too surprising but is still no less exciting.... a healthy looking baby BOY will join us in the fall. When I was pregnant with Reed and found out he was a boy, I wont lie a few tears fell but only a few in the parking lot and it was over (my mom is a witness it wasn't more tears). This time I didn't feel any of that sadness of it not being a girl. I'm sure much of that has to do with my ectopic last fall and how hard that was to overcome. Apparently, we're meant to have another boy. We are excited. The 3 big kids did want a girl and when they heard it was a boy they all 3 let out a sigh. I know they will lose that feeling and love this little brother probably more than he can handle. It will be fun and even more wild around here in a few years. Can you imagine?? He will be small and snuggely, perfect right from the start and I can't wait.

3. Speaking of pregnancy, I know I'm going to be absolutely huge by November. I've never gained weight this early and it isn't really slowing down. All part of it I know. So I'm working on Scarlett's attitude, I'll think about it tomorrow (or next year, ha!)

4. Nathan has been at cub scout day camp all week. It's 4 days from noon-8pm with travel time added in. It's been good and the things he's hauled home this year have been much better than they were last year. A wooden train, a leather drum, a medical kit he's quite proud of and who knows what else today. Milo took his turn yesterday and came home quite tired himself. Kinda funny last year he was cheering me on through text messages and this year he was the one requiring the cheerleading messages. Nathan has had a blast this week and has slept in every day. That's been an extra nice bonus.

5. The lazier mornings this week have been so nice. Every day around 3:30 I still get that 'pull my hair out' feeling and I've decided no matter what 3-7 is just hard time of day. In school or during the summer, I guess it doesn't really matter. It's time to think of dinner, everyone wants a snack and the good friends they were just a couple hours ago turned into fighting and competing. Will I someday love that time of day?
